ABOUT VEBLEN WINES
Veblen Wines was established in November 2008 acting as a service provider in the fine wine marketplace, and are specialists in buying, selling and valuing the wines of Bordeaux as well as collectable champagnes. We assist private individuals in managing, servicing and trading their interest in fine wine.
You may recognise the term ‘Veblen Good’, coined by American economist, Thorstein Veblen. The Veblen effect is where people’s preferences for buying the good increases in direct correlation to increases in its price. We think Veblen is an ideal name to reflect the uniqueness of fine wine demand, its status symbol and exclusive character.
We are trading members of the London International Vintners Exchange (Liv-ex). This is the fine wine trading exchange, which has over 450 members globally. These members make up in excess of 80% of the estimated 3.4 billion euros of fine wine traded annually, as of 2014. Since then to date these figures have increased.
We seek to conduct our business with the highest levels of integrity, transparency and performance. As a priority we work arduously to deliver the highest standards of service available to our clients who collect fine wine to preserve trust and enhance the relationship.
